Zambian Runner,
Rachael Nachula is out of the 2008 Beijing Olympics games.
Nachula, who was Zambia’s
only hope for a medal after qualifying for the semi-finals last
Friday, ended in a disappointment after finishing last in the competition.
This was in the Women’s
four-hundred semi-final competitions.
Rachael who stormed to the
semis after coming out 3rd in the qualifier improved on her time
last night by about 5.3 secs.
Nachula run her best at 50.52
secs but was still not fast enough to make it to the finals.
American, Sanya Richards won
the race to qualify for the finals.
Zambia now has one representative
remaining, Tony Wamulwa, who is expected to take part in the Five
thousand metres race.
Seven of Zambia’s participants
are out of the competition.
