Axenxio Mawere the boy who saved a baby from the borehole at the University of Zambia is getting a lot of attention. People are very impressed with his bravery. The basic Education teachers Union of Zambia BETUZ has offered to help him complete his education. This offer was made yesterday after Axensio featured on the Hot Issue program. Axensio revealed more about what exactly happened inside the borehole and advised his young friend to help each other. MUSEUM DAY
Today Zambia joined the rest of the world in celebrating the international museum day. We caught up with some young people at the museum who told us more about what was happening. XENOPHOBIA BY MWAKA NAKETI Thousands of foreigners living in South Africa are now hiding in churches and police stations because of the violence against them. Reports indicate that 13 thousand foreigners have fled their homes in fear of being attacked. This is called xenophobia Most of the foreigners who are seeking refuge are those from Zimbabwe who ran away from their home land because of violence and hunger. We spoke to the South African high commissioner to Zambia Mr. Moses Chikane and he had this to say. |
