KAMWALA HIGH SCHOOL PROTESTING
Pupils at the Kamwala High School in Lusaka are not happy.
This is because their school has had no water for the past three days.
They also say teachers at the school are not concerned about the situation. This has forced the pupils to protest.
When Zed-kids went to speak to the Head Teacher Joel Kunkuta he refused to talk to us saying we should talk to the Ministry of education officials.
It is our hope that the teachers and pupils will find a way of solving the problem at the school.
Teachers must get back to class and teach while pupils must continue learning.
UNZA STUDENTS IN A MINI WAR
Guns, stones, Police and students up against each other.
Looks like it’s not happening in Zambia but it is. This is the University of Zambia Great East Road Campus in Lusaka.
The students are demonstrating because they want the government to pay them more money for food.
Because of this disorderly the Police have come in to control the situation but it seems the students are not happy to see the Police.
The students say at the moment they are only paid 10-thousand-Kwacha, a day for their food. They want this to be increased to 20 thousand kwacha per day.

Some Police officers and students have been injured in this violence.
Last week, the students from the Copperbelt University also protested.
LOTUS
Pupils at Lotus Basic School have a lot of fun, today.
The pupils and their teachers have started preparing for the inter school athletics competition which will take place next month.
The pupils had to show off their best so that they can be part of the team.
And the pupils were also happy with the day. |
