An eight-member-Zambia-junior-tennis team is ready for the International-Tennis-Federation-ITF-Competition in South Africa.


Zambia will take part in the International-Tennis-Federation-ITF-and Centre for International Tennis-CAT-Southern Africa Championship from the 8th to 13th of January.


This is in the under Twelve, Fourteen and sixteen category for both boys and Girls.


Charles Chiwana, Yorum Mutale and Teddy Sampa told Zed Kids news that they are ready for the championship because they have been training very hard.


“We hope to see ourselves with medals, as a present to our country for the New Year” trio said.


The team is expected to leave the country on Wednesday, 7th January, 2009.


If they get good results, the junior tennis players will qualify for the 32nd junior African Championship to held in Morocco from the 5th to 19th, April.
The rest of the team is, as follows: Mbazima Mathapo, Marjory Kafuni, Naomi Mwansa, Idah Longe and Carol Zulu
