Zuma South African President

On Wednesday, South African president Jacob Zuma visited the former residence of first republican president Kenneth Kaunda house Lusaka’s chilenje township.

Dr Kaunda lived in the house from January 1960 to December 1962. It was later declared a national monument in 1968.
President Zuma made the visit with republican president, Rupiah Banda and some other South African ministers.
Many of the things that where used by the former president before he became president such as cups, plates and stoves are still in the house.
The house continues to be a historic home as more pages of history continue opening when president zuma caught up with z kids’ news trainee journalist Felix Kashweka and had a chat with him.
“Am looking forward to reading some of your articles in future”, President Zuma said to Felix.
Many people gather outside the house to have a glimpse of the 3 presidents.
Z kids news also spoke to some of the children and they told us that they where happy to have seen Jacob zuma in person.
“We are happy to see president Zuma face to face. We only see him on TV”, the kids told zkids news.
It really is good to see that the South African president took some time to visit one of Zambia’s historical sites.
